Global Warming
Our planet is warming up, and not in a good way! The last 20 years were the hottest in 400 years, according to several studies. An upsurge in the amount of extreme weather events, such as wildfires, heat waves, and strong tropical storms, is also attributed in part to climate change by some experts.
Between 1970 and 2004, global greenhouse gases (GHGs) have increased 70 per cent due to human activities. You don’t have to be an environmentalist to know that’s a massive jump in pollutants and a big problem for the effect it has on the planet’s natural temperature. It’s even worse for carbon dioxide; its annual emissions grew by about 80 per cent between the same period. Our society is pouring carbon dioxide into the atmosphere much faster than plants and oceans can absorb it.
According to e! Science News, atmospheric CO2 is currently 385 parts per million (PPM) and is increasing by about two PPM each year from the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) and from the burning of forests. Experts predict the point of no return is 450-500 PPM — so that leaves us around 30 years before it will be very uncomfortable to breathe natural air. That may sound a long way off … but it’s probably in most people’s lifetime.
Paul Krugman, internationally renowned economist and author, painted precisely the current situation in his column for New York Times - "And as I watched the deniers make their arguments, I couldn’t help thinking that I was watching a form of treason — treason against the planet." It’s a basic fact that the Earth’s natural temperature is not going to stabilize itself unless we join our forces and start making a difference!
What is friends?

True friendship is perhaps the only relation that survives the trials and tribulations of time and remains unconditional. A unique blend of affection, loyalty, love, respect, trust and loads of fun is perhaps what describes the true meaning of friendship. Similar interests, mutual respect and strong attachment with each other are what friends share between each other. These are just the general traits of a friendship. To experience what is friendship, one must have true friends, who are indeed rare treasure.
Friendship is a feeling of comfort and emotional safety with a person. It is when you do not have to weigh your thoughts and measure words, before keeping it forth before your friend. It is when someone knows you better than yourself and assures to be your side in every emotional crisis. It is when you can sleep fighting and get another morning with a better understanding. Friendship is much beyond roaming together and sharing good moments, it is when someone comes to rescue you from the worst phase of life. Friendship is eternal.

I Like Facebook....
Facebook is a social networking website intended to connect friends, family, and business associates. It is the largest of the networking sites, with the runner up being MySpace. It began as a college networking website and has expanded to include anyone and everyone.
Facebook was founded by 2004 by Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg and originally called thefacebook. It was quickly successful on campus and expanded beyond Harvard into other Ivy League schools. With the phenomenon growing in popularity, Zuckerberg enlisted two other students, Duston Moskovitz and Chris Hughes, to assist. Within months, thefacebook became a nationwide college networking website.
Zuckerberg and Moskovitz left Harvard to run thefacebook full time shortly after taking the site national. In August of 2005, thefacebook was renamed Facebook, and the domain was purchased for a reported $200,000 US Dollars (USD). At that time, it was only available to schools, universities, organizations, and companies within English speaking countries, but has since expanded to include anyone.
Facebook users create a profile page that shows their friends and networks information about themselves. The choice to include a profile in a network means that everyone withing that network can view the profile. The profile typically includes the following: Information, Status, Friends, Friends in Other Networks, Photos, Notes, Groups, and The Wall.
